The Most Fertile Man In Ireland

2

Eamon Manley (Kris Marshall) is a shy, 24-year-old virgin whose life goes from famine to feast when he discovers he's blessed with sperm so potent it could "impregnate a stone". Before you can say "crack one off", Eamon becomes a "one-man service industry" for Belfast's childless women.

Like an updated take on a '70s Brit sex romp with Marshall in the gormless Robin Askwith role, Dudi Appleton's feature debut just about works as a mix of farce and rom-com. As a satire dealing with Northern Ireland's sectarian divide, however, it's not remotely successful, while a muddled script wastes decent performances from the reliable likes of James Nesbitt, Kenneth Cranham and Bronagh Gallagher.
