When a film boasts the three best actors of their successive generations - Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro and Ed Norton - you may expect something special. Sadly, you'll be disappointed. Yes, you could argue that The Score's script isn't even striving for greatness, that it's `just' another heist caper, but then the same could be said of Heat. Sadly, Frank Oz is no Michael Mann - he's moulded a competent tale of professional crims, but never gets enough out of his slumming-it cast.
