Californian widower travels to Spain to scatter the ashes of his backpacker son

It must be hard for Martin Sheen not to play favourites. One son embarrasses himself on Twitter while the other writes him a sweet, uplifting, deeply personal film about a father’s love for his child. Emilio Estevez directs his dad as the Californian widower who travels to Spain to scatter the ashes of his backpacker son and ends up walking the 800km Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across the Pyrenees. Unashamedly sentimental (and almost spoiled by James Nesbitt), but Sheen makes a terrific walking companion, his performance shot straight from the heart.
