This taut digi-thriller made history in 2003 by becoming the first feature to simultaneously bow in theatres and on the net - a pioneering move to make low-budget British films more accessible. Not that there's anything arthouse about this fast-paced riff on the Tony Martin case. A compelling blend of Southern Comfort and Straw Dogs that sees friends Spike (the excellent Michael Colgan) and "Central" Heaton (Kenny Glenaan) accidentally off someone and then struggle to survive as a pack of yokels chase them over the moors. Exploring vigilantism, fate and friendship, it's both a chilling cautionary tale and a tender story about the breakdown of a (platonic) relationship.
