The trailer for Tiger On The Beat has to be one of the best ever made. Fancy the sight of Chow Yun-Fat firing a shotgun round a corner, using a length of rope to make it into a 12-gauge yo-yo? Or a frantic mano-a-mano swordfight with chainsaws? Thought so.
Trouble is, the rest of the film is more clunky than funky, with a barreload of sub-Jackie Chan `comedy' to wade through as wacky cops Yun-Fat and Conan Lee set out to bust a drugs syndicate. Cringeworthy stuff, but almost worth it for those eye-searingly crazy stunt sequences.
