Suddenly walking out on his life in the suburbs and heading to south-east London, depressed fortysomething Tom (Tom Fisher) just wants to be left alone.
Instead, he gets saddled with the guy everyone pretends to ignore on the bus – sweet-natured loudmouth Aiden (Aiden Gillen) who becomes the annoying best friend he never knew he needed.
Jamie Thraves’ low-key tragic-comedy only skims the surface of the depths plumbed by Mike Leigh’s similarly themed Naked, but Gillen’s expansive performance as a maladjusted misfit gives the film a heart and humour of its own.
