Usurped king of action Walter Hill kneads prison and boxing flick formulae into B-movie pulp, as Ving Rhames' heavyweight champ winds up in the slammer and picks a fight with Wesley Snipes' Zen-like penitentiary pugilist. Training sessions and pre-match chest beating follow, all building up to that climactic Big Fight. There's plenty of fist-flinging but sod all dramatic wallop.
