Gwyneth Paltrow pilots a wet'n'mild rom-com that's tailormade to be half-watched on a three-inch TV screen during a flight to Nowhere Special. During take-off, Gwynnie struggles to squeeze her elegant frame into the shell suit of her character, a specimen of pond life who sprouts wings and spreads them by entering the `glamorous' world of the flight attendant.
At around 15,000 feet, a lukewarm romance is served. Sadly, by this time you've already pulled down the plastic shutter on your attention window and drifted off to sleep. You later reflect on an overly comfortable journey severely lacking in direction.
DVD Extras:
A history of the air stewardess (drier than in-flight peanuts), a brief Making Of featurette (emptier than a new sick bag), and an advert for the soundtrack CD (about as useful as a broken bog door).
