This feeble comedy of sex `n' relationships did a quick belly flop at the US box office, and it's easy to see why as it sneaks into this country on video and DVD. Despite the potent laugh-generating power of Gary Larry Sanders Shandling and reliable actors such as Annette Bening and John Goodman, What Planet Are You From? is content to mostly fire blanks.

A five-minute behind-the-scenes featurette , trailer, isolated score, filmographies.An annoying movie no-one went to see arrives on a disc accompanied by a single extra that no-one would want to see either. The only real laugh-worthy aspect of the featurette (and the disc) is that it was shot during filming. The cast get busy praising Shandling and director Mike Nichols explains the `deep' messages about the differences between the sexes. Sorry Mike, but it's nothing new.
