A queen is searching for a baby who's predestined to destroy her. Diminutive farmer Willow (Warwick Davis) beats her to it, however, and is tasked with returning the sprog to the Daikini (normal-sized folk). It's an arduous mission, which requires Willow to survive tussles with trolls and a two-headed dragon. Good job Val Kilmer's expert swordsman is on hand to help...
DVD Extras:
Warwick Davis commentary, two featurettes, TV spots, trailers, stills. This George Lucas-scribbled, Ron Howard-directed fantasy is no Princess Bride. It's also no Star Wars, though it obviously wants to be judging by the derivative plotting and characterisation. Disc-wise, there's an enthusiastic blab from Davis and a diverting look at the film's pioneering morphing work.
