Bleeding eyes and crucifixion poses – this is a ragingly emo tale of conflict between “dragons of Heaven” and “dragons of Earth”. The first episode is flashback-tastic if you’re joining at Volume 5, but you may still struggle. Thankfully, crisp animation and a strong soundtrack hold the attention.
