Peggy Mount’s battleaxe is the centre of this retirement home sitcom. It’s basically her waging covert war on the staff of Paradise Lodge, aided by simpleton friend Cissie (’80s kiddie TV stalwart Pat Coombs). The show’s dated heavily but does offer some nostalgic mirth.
