Taglined `A modern immorality tale', Neil LaBute's second feature is just as acerbic as In The Company Of Men, but here both sexes are sour and selfish. He's an equal opportunity offender. At cinemas, Jason Patric's pyscho sexual predator was the stand-out in this ensemble tale of tangled relationships, but Ben Stiller's simpering adulterer is just as horribly real. Applaud as Amy Brenneman responds to his whining over why their `love' sundered: ""Cos life is complicated, it's a funny world, people can't communicate and you couldn't keep your erection"."
