Another tedious remake of an already tired Robin Hood story! The fighting Maid Marion, the obligatory portly actor playing Friar, the dis-enchanted Will Scarlet, etc all in a Saxon mud of blood and guts sword slashings and eyeball arrows! Bet they have Ian McKellan as bleedin King Richard?

I think it was the best Robin Hood I've seen. Totally turned everything on it's head with the Robin Hood tale. Awesome.

There are few movies I've ever walked out of. This was one. I thought it was one of the most boring films I've ever seen. There have been so many versions of the story, it felt hackneyed. I didn't care about any of the characters, and any chance I might was undermined by the dodgy and constantly-changing accents. Scott Grimes as a Welsh Guy; Little John was Scottish - or was it Irish... (found that one confusing, as a Scot), and worst of all, Russ himself, who I usually LOVE, getting his Geordie, Scouse, Irish and Middlesbrough all mixed up. Too nice an evening to waste watching this (oh, but I thought Cate Blanchett was good).

Saw this movie whilst on holiday in Texas. What a load of c**p !!! Ridley Scott has really lost it with this one. Worse than KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, and that one was just O.K. Ridley seems more obsessed with the visuals than the story line. Another great director in his twilight, like others before him.

Anyone know details about the Extended Director Cut Blu-Ray/DVD release. It's got 16 minutes extra footage available in early September. Anything other details are vague
