Shaun Of The Dead review

Film description

In a Nutshell:

An epic zombie-riddled journey to the pub.

Trailer:

Tagline:

A romantic comedy. With zombies.

Quotes:

Shaun: 'Do you want anything from the shop?'
Ed: 'Cornetto.'

'How’s that for a slice of fried gold?'

'We're not using the Z-word!'

Plot:

Our hero, Shaun (Simon Pegg), is not having the best couple of days. Struggling to save his relationship with ex-girlfriend Liz (Kate Ashfield) and stuck in a dead-end job, even best friend, Ed (Nick Frost), is dragging him down.

The added stress of dealing with the living dead doesn’t seem to be helping matters.

However, impending doom spurs Shaun to defy preconceived expectations and shake off any remnants of ‘loser,’ in order to take the people he loves - plus David and Dianne – to the safety of local pub and ‘impenetrable fortress’: the Winchester.

And so unfolds this everyman’s zombie apocalypse.
