Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is the much anticipated follow up to 2005's Sin City directed by Robert Rodriguez and based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller.
At the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, Rodriguez said that the sequel (then titled Sin City 2) will contain two storylines from Miller's original Sin City graphic novel including 'A Dame To Kill For' and 'Just Another Saturday Night' and two new stories written by Miller especially for the film, one of which would be titled 'The Long, Bad Night'.
Jessica Alba is set to return as dancer Nancy Callahan along with Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke and Michael Madsen. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Josh Brolin have also signed on, the latter replacing Clive Owen as Dwight. And Dennis Haysbert will step into the shoes of the late Michael Clarke Duncan.
Miller said that Sin City: A Dame To Kill For will involve interlinking stories that occur before and after the first film, and William Monahan was drawn in to put finishing touches to the script.
Principal photography began in October 2012, with the shoot taking place in 2013.
