Attack Of The Clones is the second installment of George Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy, making it the fifth film overall (despite the fact it comes second in the series chronology).
Amping up the fun factor after the dreary Phantom Menace, AOTC catches up with Anakin in his teens, just as he's starting to tire of his mentor Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor), and is growing fonder of Padmé (Natalie Portman).
While there's a fair amount of tepid romance-angst to struggle through, Clones throws in plenty of action to bring balance to the proceedings, with a gladiatorial showdown, speeder chases and lightsaber clashes among the highlights.
Seeing Yoda, Mace Windu and Jango Fett kick ass is also a bonus.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones opened in the UK on 16 May 2002, with a 3D re-release planned for 20 September 2013.
