Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith review

Film description

Revenge Of The Sith is the closing film in George Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy.

Completing Anakin's conversion from Jedi padawan to dark lord, Sith brings the prequel full circle. The darkest, and arguably most successful of the three prequels, Hayden Christensen finally gets the opportunity to don the Darth Vader mask, if only for a matter of minutes.

Elsewhere, the orders of Darth Sidious (AKA Senator Palpatine) force the Jedi into exile, Padmé gives birth to a couple of twins, and Mace Windu meets an unfortunate end. Oh, and there's an island of Wookiees.

For a considerable period of time, ROTS was expected to be the final live-action Star Wars film. That ended when Episode VII was announced along with the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith opened in the UK on 19 May 2005, with a 3D re-release on 25 October 2013.
