Film description

Star Wars: Episode VII is actually happening.

Announced on 30 October 2012, the film will be the first feature to result from Disney’s $4bn purchase of Lucasfilm.

Scheduled to arrive in May 2015, Episode VII: (subtitle as yet unknown) will kick off a whole new trilogy of Star Wars films (and don’t be surprised if there's more than one trilogy).

Little is known about the sequel, which will follow chronologically from Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi.

George Lucas’ biographer has suggested the possibility that the film might follow Luke Skywalker in middle-age, while Mark Hamill has said that he doesn’t know if he’ll be reprising his role as Luke Skywalker for the next installment.

The story so far of Episode 7 has been a rocky one, but we can’t wait to find out more details on the film in the coming months.

i believe there are already countless authorized comics & novels that r set after return of the jedi. Last i remember, solo & leia already had 3 kids AND that was more than a decade ago. Lord knows how many more have been churned out already. Is Disney gonna disregard all that & tell all SW fans they have been collecting fake SW stories? I liked the Dark Empire comic mini series from dark horse but dun think that anyone can reprise their roles at this age xP
