Superbad review

Film description

In a Nutshell:

Two desperate teenagers try to lose their virginity before the end of high school.

Come and get some.

Evan: 'I'm just sick of all the amateur stuff.  You know?  I mean, like, if I'm paying top dollar, I want a little production value.  You know?  Like some editing, transition, something.  Some music.'
Seth: 'Yeah, you know, well, I'm sorry, Evan, that the Coen brothers don't direct porn that I watch'

Seth: 'I am truly jealous you got to suck on those tits when you were a baby'
Evan: 'Yeah, well, at least you got to suck on your dad's dick'

Seth: 'He is the sweetest guy. Have you ever looked into his eyes? It was like the first time I heard the Beatles'

Evan (Michael Cera) and Seth (Jonah Hill) are two joined-at-the-hip bestfriends who are in their last week of senior year at high school.

Instead of socialising and chasing girls, the two have spent the past 3 years of their high school lives watching fetish porn and eating pizza bagels in Evan's basement.

However, they soon realise that once high school is over, they will be on their own in the scary, outside world of college. It just so happens that Seth's highschool crush, Jules (Emma Stone) is having an end of year party, so the two decide to take the plunge in a last ditch attempt to lose their virginity before college.

Their plan is flawless; with the help of their dorky friend Fogel and his laughably inaccurate fake I.D, Seth and Evan will buy booze for the whole party and get their chosen girls drunk enough to make out with them.

However, when Fogel is involved things are never easy, and his fake I.D proves to be the crucial decider in whether they all go to college as popular socialites or as friendless virgins.
