How do you make a film about bizarre deaths even more ghoulish? Have it star the late Chris Penn. The reservoir dog plays one of the dumb-asses investigated by insurance employees Joseph Fiennes and Winona Ryder. Alas, this laboured comedy – named after the jokey gongs bestowed on idiots posthumously – is no kind of swansong for Penn, director Finn Taylor failing to connect his string of urban legends into a coherent whole. Oh, and Winona swears. A lot.
