George C Scott – whose English inflection comes and goes – plays a retired spook tracking down a serial killer (Kirk Douglas) and various stars (Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis, Robert Mitchum, Frank Sinatra) pop up in heavily disguised cameos. It’s amusing (and tolerably well made), but you can’t help feeling the makers had the best of the fun. No extras.
