
Tracking the growing pains of the Antichrist through childhood, puberty and life as a thirtysomething, the Omen trilogy (forget Part IV - it doesn't count) deserves its place in the the horror pantheon. Well, kind of. The original is the strongest, due to Richard Donner's controlled direction and refusal to go for cheap gore, but Parts II and III are less disturbing and a tad overwrought.
