The Perks Of Being A Wallflower review

Film description

Harry Potter’s resident nerd Emma Watson has headed back into the classroom for The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, a high school drama also starring Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller.

Based on the book by Stephen Chbosky, who has written and directed the movie adaptation, Wallflower follows freshman Charlie’s (Lerman) attempts to finds his place in the world.

With the help of new friends Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Miller), he manages to navigate the perils of teenage life.

The first images from the film surfaced in January 2012, and showed Watson in moon-eyed study mode with Lerman.

Meanwhile, the trailer gave us our first proper look at the film, hinting that this would be a sweet-natured coming-of-ager with one heck of a rocking soundtrack.

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower opens on 3 October 2012. Will you be going to see it? Tell us below.

I did see the movie, and I actually enjoyed seeing it. Though I would prefer the book over the film any day, I think Stephen Chbosky did a good job putting the words of the book into the movie. Having read the book, a DISH coworker and I saw it in theaters a while back, and loved it. I’ve added it to my queue on Blockbuster @Home from DISH so when it arrives, I won’t have to travel across town to the Redbox just to see it again.
