
In the parallel universe of mediocre action films, Kim Basinger's a bank-robbing ex-con blackmailed by slimeballs into returning to her bad old ways for their benefit. Despite gaping plot holes and Kim's suspiciously unusual hair, there's at least something plausible here. Basinger's sweet, Monroe-like fragility and Val Kilmer's goofy himbo sidekick salvage some charm from the formulaic production line.
