He spent 4 years putting together all the greatest artists...blah, blah, blah...it seems Cameron doesn't include writers in his definition of 'artist', because if a script writer or story editor had spent 4 weeks on this film, never mind 4 years, s(h)e would have baulked at putting their name to the end result. Picked up their cheque, yes, but anonymously. I seem to recall a debate in Total Film (under the guest editorship of P.Jackson) about the merits of computer games and how they still had some way to go before they would achieve the artistic standing and aesthetic credibility of cinema. Well not anymore! Cameron lowered the bar for everyone.
